Randall
W. Runyon, Sr.,
Director
Randy Runyon is the Founding Director of the College of Southern
Maryland's
Jazz Ensemble, "Solid Brass," and part-time Faculty for the Fine
Arts and
Humanities Department teaching "Jazz Ensemble I, II, III, IV" and
the
"History of Jazz".
Among his many titles (Educator, Composer, Musician, Audio
Specialist,
Camera Operator, Voice-Over Artist), Randy is President and Owner of
dbF A
Media Company and dbF Electronics. He is an experienced audio/music
technician and composer with excellent credentials in the field of
music performance and education from the University of Michigan. Randy is a gifted and
entertaining
performer, conductor, director and producer for live stage events,
music and
video and audio entertainment, and informational media projects. He
composes and records music for cable television shows, radio and
television
commercials, videos and live events.
Randy has been an Adjudicator for Calvert, Charles, Montgomery, and
St. Mary's
Counties Solo/Ensemble and Band Festivals for many years.
Musical accomplishments include: Winner, University of Michigan
Symphony
Concerto Competition; Soloist, Michigan Symphony Orchestra; Winner,
National
Symphony Orchestra, Young Soloist Concerto Competition; and Soloist
with National Symphony at John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing
Arts.
